Vin Santo del Chianti D.O.C.
Grape Variety:
Malvasia and Trebbiano.
Vineyards characteristics:
Vineyard situated in the Chianti area on medium-height hillsides with excellent exposure. Vines planted in a moderately compact soil.
Vinification:
According to the traditional method, grapes are spread on straw mats and left to dry at least 60 days in a special room under the roof. The juice is fermented in small oak barrels (caratelli), where it will be kept for about 3 years.
Conservation:
The wine is suitable for long-term ageing.
Colour:
Amber yellow coloured wine.
Fragrance:
Intense, ethereal and fragrant aroma, with almond traces.
Taste:
Moderately sweet, full flavour with raisin aroma.
Serving temperature:
18-20°C.
Serving suggestion:
Excellent dessert wine, very good with dry cakes, biscuits
Availability:
In 0,375 litre bottles.
